Origin: Cultivated in the Colombian Andes by small farmers from the department of Cundinamarca (Colombia)

Description: Medium and oval green fruit that turns black when ripe. This fruit has a hard, waxy, and rough inedible surface. Its creamy pulp has a delicious flavor with or without salt. It also has a large inedible seed that has been used for medicinal purposes.

Nutritional Benefits: Contribute to cardiovascular, eye and skin health. They promote normal blood pressure, exert a beneficial effect on total cholesterol, support weight management, and promote healthy aging. Avocados are rich in healthy fatty acids, vitamins C, E, K, and B, antioxidants, carotenoids, phenolic compounds, dietary fiber, potassium, and magnesium. Additionally, they possess potential anti-cancer and anti-tumor effects.

Applications: It is suitable for eating fresh, in salads, side dishes and snacks.
